With an honorable 8-year tenure in the US Air Force, my career began as an Avionics Technician for the HH-60G Pave Hawk, dedicating five years to mastering the intricacies of electrical components critical to aircraft avionics. My responsibilities encompassed rigorous troubleshooting, adeptly using electrical tools, and interpreting complex schematics to ensure the optimal function of aircraft systems.
Transitioning to a Flight Engineer for the remaining three years, I honed my expertise in aircraft systems, performing flight performance calculations and monitoring fuel consumption rates. My role was pivotal in diagnosing and resolving in-flight malfunctions, often under high-stress conditions, to secure the crew's safe return.
My operational excellence was proven over two tours in Iraq, where my contributions were recognized with an Air Medal and two Commendation Medals. This experience has ingrained a resilience and a precision-driven approach to problem-solving that I am eager to bring to the electrical engineering industry, promising an asset to any future employer.
I am currently a proud Sun Devil, attending Arizona State University as a Junior majoring in Electrical Engineering. My academic journey at ASU has been rewarding, pushing the boundaries of my knowledge and skills in engineering. I am pleased to share that I am in excellent standing with a cumulative GPA of 4.0, reflecting my commitment to academic excellence and my passion for the field.
My education extends beyond the boundaries of traditional academic institutions, having served in the military under the United States Air Force where I cultivated valuable skills and experiences. During my service, I achieved two associate degrees. The first was in Avionic Systems Technology, where I studied the intricate and complex systems that form the backbone of aviation electronics. My second associate degree in Aviation Operations honed my attention to detail and rigor, skills highly valued in the electrical engineering industry. This degree emphasized the importance of technological proficiency and system-level thinking, preparing me for the complex challenges in the engineering industry. These experiences provided a unique and practical perspective on the application of aerospace technology, supplementing my current studies in electrical engineering.
This combination of rigorous academic study and hands-on experience has been invaluable in shaping my understanding and passion for electrical engineering. I look forward to bringing this unique perspective to future challenges and opportunities in the field.
